The running route will be on tarmac and concrete paths with a small section on grass - regular runners or racing flats will work.
Are entries transferable or refundable?
Sorry, No they are no.
May I change distance from that originally entered?
Yes. Please e-mail your distance request to info@howthaquathon.com before entries close on Saturday before race. On night distance changes will be accommodated only to transfer from long to short course for safety reasons but your results may not be recorded in provisional results for your actual race.

What are the Race Check-in times?
Race Check-in is at the Scout hall in Howth from 18.00 to 1900hrs on race night. This is close to the transition area and DART Station. You will be issued with your race number and timing chip at this time. Please Note: Nothing is sent to you in the post before the event.  Everything you require to take part in the event is issued at check-in.
Do I get a T-Shirt?
In order to keep the cost of entry down for everyone and because many participants already have lots of race tee shirts there is no tee shirt included in your individual race entry cost unless you choose to enter all 3 races together. Tees will be available for collection at our series finale in July.
If you are entering just one or two races then you have the option of purchasing a tech tee for €15 at race sign at the third race in July. If we have some stocks spare at that time.
Alternatively, you can purchase a tee shirt as a race momento through the Howth Aquathon Store.
Will there be a "goody" bag?
No. We prefer to keep the quality of the actual event up and the costs down for the benefit of competitors.
Information on local amenities is available. We encourage you to arrive early or stay on for a while after the event to enjoy all that Howth has to offer. We are also environmentally conscious so we want to keep waste to a minimum.
